About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Architect who thrives in multi-platform environments, can bring both structure and creativity to complex systems, and knows how to design scalable solutions that work across Salesforce and beyond.
You’ll lead the technical direction and architecture for client implementations and internal initiatives, guiding build decisions and keeping us honest about what’s possible, sustainable, and smart. You’ll collaborate with our functional team, developers, QA engineers, and client stakeholders to make sure what we build works, technically and practically.
That might mean designing a Salesforce data model one day, mapping an integration the next, or exploring how one of our partner apps (like Logik.ai or MuleSoft) fits into the picture.
Detailed experience with B2B Commerce implementations is important, but this isn’t a niche role but you should be able to talk about the many iterations and the evolution of the Salesforce commerce offering in general (Demandware, CloudCraze, Visualforce, Lightning B2B D2C). We’re looking for someone who understands the nuance of real-world systems, enjoys working across cloud platforms, and wants the space to explore and apply their own ideas.
We’re a small team, so we welcome people who like to dig in, share ideas, and shape how we work. If you’ve got technical range, enjoy mentoring others, and like working with autonomy, you’ll fit right in.
What You'll Do
Lead the technical direction for client implementations and internal initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals
Architect Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Rev Cloud, Experience Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud, and related applications
Translate functional requirements into technical architecture and well-documented specifications
Balance technical vision with business needs, clearly communicating tradeoffs to clients and internal teams
Guide system architecture and design with attention to performance, security, data integrity, and alignment with enterprise standards
Architect and oversee integrations between Salesforce and external systems, using appropriate tools and patterns (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, middleware)
Explore and recommend partner or marketplace tools (e.g., Logik.io, Conga, Stripe) based on client goals and solution fit
Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, QA engineers, and client teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and practically usable
Contribute to development as needed, review code and architecture, and help the team maintain a high standard of technical quality
Manage and mentor junior team members and help foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence
Help shape internal best practices, reusable architecture patterns, and platform evaluation frameworks, including those for tools like Logik.io and MuleSoft
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Technical Architect, with a strong track record designing and delivering Salesforce solutions across complex client environments
Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform: how it works, where it shines, and where to design around its limitations
Fluency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce data model best practices
Comfortable working hands-on in code when needed, while also taking a step back to see the full architectural picture
Experience with B2B business models, complex sales processes, and tools like Salesforce CPQ / Revenue Cloud
Skilled in API integrations and familiar with middleware platforms like MuleSoft, Informatica, and Zapier
Strong grasp of platform security, performance optimization, and scalability strategies
Salesforce certifications that reflect architectural depth (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, Platform Developer II)
Strong analytical thinking and a pragmatic approach to solving technical problems
Excellent communication skills: able to translate technical ideas clearly and help teams and clients navigate tradeoffs with confidence
Bonus: Experience with additional cloud platforms or partner tools (e.g., Logik.ai, ServiceNow, BigCommerce)
